Abstract presenters may be offered the opportunity to present live as a face-to-face presentation at the venue or as a virtual pre-recorded presentation. Abstract presenters that have been accepted for a virtual only presentation will have their presentation available on demand in the Virtual Conference Portal.
All accepted Abstract presenters must submit pre-recorded Oral Presentations, ePoster Presentations and Rapid Fire Presentations by Friday 23 July 2021.
How will I engage with Delegates and network?
All pre-recorded Abstract presentations including Oral, ePoster and Rapid Fire Presentations will be available on demand on the Conference Virtual Portal in the week prior to the conference to allow all delegates to engage and ask questions via the discussion forum (chat).
We recommend that presenters make one of the first discussion forum comments (presenter contact information), so that audience members can contact you for more information / to collaborate (if you're open to such contacts). Alternatively (or in addition to this), you can keep an eye on your discussion forum for your session/s.
Presentations accepted for the below presentation types, will be have their pre-recorded video presentation available on-demand;

Live Oral Presentation Tips
Please ensure that the quantity of slides used is appropriate in relation to the length of your presentation. The Conference needs to run to time and presenters will be asked to finish at the scheduled time by the Session Chair. The time allotted for your presentation is 20 minutes (17 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A time).

Live Oral Presentation
Please be in your allocated session room 10 minutes prior to the proceeding break (eg Morning Tea) to meet the Session Chair and to ensure that your presentation is correctly loaded.
The Session Chair will time your presentation and provide you with a 'warning' at 2 minutes remaining, 1 minute remaining and also when time is up. The Session Chair will guide the Q&A portion of your presentation.
Virtual Oral Presentation (All Oral Abstract Presenters)

Rapid Fire Oral Presentation
Presenters have 120 seconds (2 minutes) to present an “elevator pitch” (a succinct and persuasive sales pitch) to Delegates outlining the outcomes of innovative practice, research, education or management that they are working on. This presentation must be presented on a single PowerPoint slide (Poster) 16:9 format.
Rapid Fire Poster
Most Innovative Rapid Fire Oral Presentation
Rapid Fire Presentations recordings will be scheduled together during the Live Conference and following the viewing of these a live poll will be conducted to vote on the most innovative presentation.
Rapid Fire Virtual Presentations
Rapid Fire Presentations will be available on demand on the Virtual Conference Portal one week prior to the Conference. The recording of the Rapid Fire Presentations will be used during the live Conference.

Recording Presentation
Using a video conference tool is an easy way to record yourself and your screen at the same time. If you do not have a preferred platform we suggest you try one of the following.
*Free version provides recording functionality but may have limitations. Search each platform for capabilities and restrictions.
Submitting Your Recording
It is a condition of your Abstract Submission that at least one (1) author must register and pay to attend and present the Abstract at the Conference. If there is more than one presenter, all presenters must be registered and pay to attend the Conference.
All successful Abstracts will be published on the Conference Website, App and Virtual Portal.
Abstracts must be approved by your Organisation for publication and must not breach copyright.
Abstract presenters must provide a pre-recorded video of their presentation by the due date.
Abstract Presentation recordings will be available on the Virtual Conference Portal prior to the conference and for a period of one (1) year available on demand.
A recording of your presentation maybe offered for sale for ongoing Professional Development of Children and Young People’s Nurses.
