Abstract Guidelines                     Abstract Portal

​Abstracts MUST be submitted electronically through the Conference Abstract Portal. ​

Full detail of how to submit the Abstract and what information is required / questions to respond to are within the Abstract Submission Portal.  

Among other details, information required: 

Abstract Title - a brief and interesting description of the presentation (maximum 50 words) 

Theme Presentation - Choose one (1) of the following: 

  • Leadership for Workplace Innovation 
  • Improving or Building Workplace Culture 
  • Models of Care 
  • Building Workforce Clinical Capacity 
  • Education, Mentoring and Coaching 
  • Approaches to Build Staff Resilience and Support Self-Care 
Preferred Presentation Type 

  • Oral - duration 10 minutes (including 3 minutes Q&A time) 
  • Poster – Presenters are required to stand by their poster for 25 minutes during the lunch break (Thursday or Friday) as detailed in the program

Short biography of presenter (maximum 60 words). This information will be used by the Session Chairs for introduction purposes or may be published in the Conference App.  

Abstract – Oral & Poster (include Aim, Method, Results, Conclusion – maximum 250 words) must be uploaded using the Abstract Template Oral & Poster.docx

Please Note: 
You can save unfinished Abstract submissions to return to complete later. You can also alter your submission at any time prior to the closing date (Friday 21 June 2019). ​

No references are to be included. 

​Only Abstracts submitted in English will be reviewed. Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar before submission. ​

Multiple Abstract submissions will be accepted. 

Abstract Assessment 
All submitted Abstracts are subjected to blind-peer review by specialists in the field. The type of presentation offered to the authors (oral or poster presentation) will be the decision of the Scientific Program Committee. 

SELECTION CRITERIA (All submissions) 

  • Abstracts will be assessed against the following criteria: 
  • Interest to the audience 
  • Merit of research or non-research Abstract 
  • Relevance to the Abstract Themes & AQNML values 
  • Clarity of Abstract

​Conditions of Abstract Submission 

  • Only Abstracts submitted online will be considered by the Scientific Program Committee – please do not post or email an Abstract as it will not be considered. 
  • When the Scientific Program Committee has finalised the review process, those who submitted Abstracts will be notified of acceptance or otherwise by email by Friday 12 July 2019. 
  • Acceptance of Abstracts is subject to the submission and review of the Abstract. 
  • The number of Abstracts that will be accepted is strictly limited; any Oral Abstracts not accepted for Oral Presentation may be offered the opportunity of a Poster Presentation. 
  • The decision of the Scientific Program Committee is final. 
  • It is a condition of your Abstract acceptance that at least one author will register as a Full Conference Delegate (with completed payment) to attend and present the Abstract at the Conference by Friday 2 August 2019. 
  • Abstracts must be approved by your Organisation for publication and must not breach copyright. 
  • As part of your online submission, if your Abstract is accepted for a presentation you will be required to agree to: 
    • Your Abstract being published on the Conference Website and App.​
